I consider all the children’s likes and dislikes when writing my menus and offer healthy, nutritious food at meal times. I have a healthy eating policy which I encourage parents to read before their child starts with me.
If parents prefer to supply food for their children, I will store and serve it at meal times.
Breakfast – a choice of cereals, toast or other bread products with various spreads, yoghurts etc and a drink of milk or water.
Snack (morning & Afternoon) – healthy options including breadsticks and cheese, various fruits, crackers and spread, dried fruit, fruity cakes or buns. All washed down with a drink of milk, water or diluted juice.
Lunch and Tea – I provide a weekly menu with a wide variety of homemade multi-cultural dishes.
Food is freshly prepared and cooked to current healthy eating guidelines. Please see our menus on our notice board for more details.
Food and babies – I am happy to make up bottles for babies and have appropriate storage facilities. Parents provide the appropriate formula and bottles required. I do steam/cold-water sterilise.
I also offer a weaning menu to help you when your baby begins this stage.
I am happy to provide food and drink for children during weaning stages as long as this process has started at home to be discussed by parents. This way I can ensure that similar foods can be offered with me and avoid any allergic reactions. I ask that you provide a list of foods you have already tried and new foods introduced.
For advice on when to begin weaning or foods that can be introduced, please ask on your visit.
